Delight in this fancy 14K two-tone gold crucifix with intricate etchings in the domed cross, resembling the bark of a tree. The yellow gold highlights the white gold Jesus figurine, reminding those of the Catholic faith of His crucifixion. Its bail fits a chain necklace that is approximately 2mm or less in width. | This is very small but also very elegant. I love the cut of the cross and the Jesus figure is respectful and well presented - something a lot of commercial cross jewelry doesn't succeed with. My only issue was (and still is) the 14K designation. I can see there are characters on the bale but I don't have a powerful enough loupe to read them. I'm assured it's the provenence of the weight of the gold. And I accept Golden Mine's assurance that's what's on the bale. Of course, those characters merely indicate the bale itself is 14K. I'd have rathered it be on the cross itself but apparently locating such indicators on the bale is standard. Bottom line is that this is a lovely, albeit small, crucifix pendant. |
